Padiham FC Juniors v Junior Hoops Bears U7s

The dream of Wembley is still alive as Bears power past the Padiham Juniors at the impressive community facilities of the Leisure Box in Brierfield.

With Land of Hope and Glory still ringing in the ears Bootroom Simon and Tom have a full strength sleuth of bears in the traditional green and white hoops proudly sponsored by Go Stroll starting with hulk Tommy in goal, iron men Elliott and Jonah in defence, midfield thor Alex and captain america Josh striker. Super subs are hawkeye Lucas, falcon Luciano and hulkbuster Rocco.

Nordic legend tells the tale of the bears with strength, endurance and quest for the battle as Alex with superhuman speed powers in an unstoppable shot to opening the scoring in the first minute. Padiham are quick to recover but Jonah clears the danger and Tommy saves the corner to set Elliott on the counterattack to find Josh quickest to react and not only benefitting from the Vibranium shield but extensive training sessions with the Saints and Coach Dean’s pass and groove techniques to score the second. Iron men defence of Elliott and Jonah show intelligence and sophisticated sensor systems and other gadgetry to stop the threat of the opposition and Alex has the skill to master the elements and score again. Tommy is transformed by the gamma radiation and makes a great save but cannot keep a rocket shot from the Padiham ultron out to get a goal back. This game is end to end as subs are on now with Luciano fresh from a cameo with the Dragons in which Coach Trevor was again lost for adjectives for another superb performance fires a shot into the bottom corner and Lucas wraps up the scoring after great work down the wing from Rocco. Half time.

Second half and Lucas wins a free kick and with perfect accuracy finds the bottom corner as captured with lightening quick reflexes by the match of the day cameraman, one to watch later on match of the day. Rocco shows great strength and commands the midfield and feeds Josh who beats his marker and coolly beats the red skull to score. Jonah is wearing the goalie gloves now and after a goalmouth scramble, ball dancing around on the line saves and quick pass to Rocco, back to Josh finds Alex in space to shoot but hits the post. Lucas wins the ball with goal saving tackle and finds Luciano who with a precise pass sets up Elliott just on the half way line and takes the pass in his stride, step over and turn, twist and shout, rock and roll to beat two despairing tackles and calmly fires home goal of the day and what must be contender for goal of the season, first for the club in a competitive game and one to celebrate long into the night.
